This morning there was a wonderful farmer's market. I bought some peaches and apples and a wonderful peach muffin!! 
The mural at the entrance of the Gettysburg Battlefield Visitor's center. The center had an amazing collection of artifacts from the battleground along with numerous photographs of the battleground immediately following the 3 days of hell there. Also, many pictures of the town of Gettysburg and displays showing what the people of Gettysburg were left dealing with as Lee and Meade left with their armies.
These are belt buckles and shoulder plate buckles from SC regiments at Gettysburg. Also, a confederate 'uniform'.
These are cannon balls from the battlefield and Robert E. Lee's actual gloves, button, and lapel pin. Be still my heart!!!!
The Visitors' Center at Gettysburg Battlefield was amazing! The displays and memorabilia were extensive and evenly balanced, showing the tragedy of both sides. These are the original flags --one obviously the SC state flag during the Confederacy and the one on the right, the 1st national flag of the new Confederate States. 
The museum made me think and made me sad at the loss of life. However, I cannot wait to tour the battlefield tomorrow.

So how is your trip ?? Any HAUNTINGS at the hotel ? Are ya'll staying there the whole time your in Gettysburg ? Now that would be really cool if there was a " sighting " or something of someone.. wonder who it would be ..
